Family

John, Jessica, Melody, Sam and Cathy

I got the chance to meet Cathy's daughter, Jessica, and her three grandkids, John, Sam and Melody. They made the one hour drive from home to our place in Rupert this Sunday. What a great family! Shane, Cathy's son in law, had to work and couldn't make it.

It was an afternoon of flying kites, playing badminton, and barbecuing. After lunch, we piled into Cathy's truck and drove to nearby Walcott State Park. There, we casually strolled through the park. The kids picked flowers, explored the reservoir shore, and just enjoyed themselves.

Sam found a snake's skin.

It was another great day!

Boy, these photos have "FAMILY" written all over them, especially the top one. That's great. I hope they are getting the "camping fever" bug on this trip and will want to camp more.
