A Great Change in Plans

The last few days have fairly busy for me. I continued on my travel toward Idaho. My route would take me through La Grande, OR. The town where the factory is located that makes my trailer. I have an appointment with them for the end of October. I thought as long as I am going to be going through town, I might as well call them and see if I can swing by the plant and have them look at what needs to be repaired.

Doing that would at least help ease my mind and there might be an outside chance they could move my appointment up to a earlier date. The end of October and the weather in this part of the country can be scary for a traveler.

Dave, the factory rep I'm working with, was enthusiastic and told me to "come on in!". It was good I did. The repairs won't take long at all. The large side panel can be fixed without being replaced. Dave estimated only two days in the factory instead of an entire week. Great, since I don't need that much time, I asked if there was a chance I might be able to move my appointment up.

There was a two day window open at the end of September. Yes! That's an entire month earlier. I called and told Cathy the news. That will simplify our plans for heading to Arizona for the Winter. Now we just have to make them. Cathy will meet me this week in Rupert, ID, at the Elks Club RV park.

I'll be there today.
